Showing Your Home
Once your home is listed, you can expect showings to begin within a few days. Generally, you will have the greatest activity within the first three to four weeks of the home being listed. For that reason, it is important to make your home available for showings as much as you can during this period.
Here are some tips for preparing your home before each showing:
- Put away any day-to-day clutter, laundry, or dishes in the sink
- Vacuum and dust
- Open up curtains and blinds
- Turn on lights in each room
- Secure pets outside or in a secondary room like the laundry room
- Use a light air fresher
After each showing, Donna will do her best to get feedback from the buyer’s agent so you will know what buyers think of the house. Their comments tell you what they see as positive and negative about the home – and things you may want to change for future showings.
